The world is steaming with poetry today. Last night I went to The Parliament Building in Stormont, Belfast to celebrate the winners of the Funeral Services Northern Ireland National Poetry Competition. It was launched on 4th August at James Browns and Sons where I read a few new poems. It was something else, reading to a bunch of vivid and lively listeners in a funeral parlor!
So today, to celebrate National Poetry Day and the fifth anniversary of his poetry magazine, Amos Greig, the editor published the 49th issue of A New Ulster. I was published in issue 1, so this is another solar return for me personally, too.
