Wow!
I went to see the "immersive play" written by Dave Kingham performed by the Accidental Theatre in Riddel's Warehouse in Belfast.
An immersive play is something of a kind. Performance, drama, exhibition of a fictitious artist, whose website you can find on the internet and who's fans are sending twitter messages during the performance. This is an experience about identity, art, culture asking the existential question: Who are you?
In the Riddel's Warehouse, where the walls bleed rust, they created a thrust stage, so that the audience was part of the play, in fact we were asked to get engaged in many ways. It was splendid.
They are on tour and it would be wonderful to see how they use other spaces. Armagh, Dublin and Derry are next.
