Csilla Toldy

 Film is a passion and in the last few years I started to make film poems of my own poetry.  Point was supported by Northern Ireland Screen and it was screened at the Toronto Widsound Film Festival. Hommage was screened at the Videoholica video art festival in Varna.  I used this film as a starting point for a paper on Metaphors in Videopoetry, presented at the Mix2 Digital Writing Conference organised by Bath University in 2013. Bussokusekika was selected for the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival in 2016. Belfast Exposed, Storm in East Belfast were exhibited at the New Voices Ireland Series 7 at D-light Studios Dublin in 2019 and selected for the 8th International Videopoetry Festival in Athens. Belfast exposed was Best Street Art Film at the Berlin Underground Film Festival in 2020 and received Special Mention at the Experimental Film Festival in Barcelona in 2021. Axis Mundi was commissioned by CFCP and supported by the Arts Councils of Ireland. It won Best Environmental Film at Toronto Women in Film Festival, it was semi finalist at the Stockholm short film festival and it won the Public's Award in Barcelona.
